Mergazerds is a 2-8 player cooperative-"competitive" Zerd battle simulation. Players in teams of 1-4 each take control of a Zerd, a massive Power Rangers inspired battle robot, to do battle with the opposing team to decide who will be saviour of the city. Each player only controls one limb of their robot, making coordination key to victory! The game was inspired by other local cooperative games such as Rakete and Kick Down The Door. The game is played with a large custom built controller, too large for one person to be able to control each robot comfortably. The purpose is to encourage people to have to ask strangers to play with them, and then to encourage cooperation between strangers, to hopefully share some laughter and make some new friends.
